We grew up together as foals. (i.e., from childhood)
My mother’s song when she cradled me,
Will never be forgotten.

The free, blessed qonyr (“wind from the motherland”)
blows into the black stone.
Come back, qonyr, to the sky

My people and my land, wherever I am.
